Our Conference Programme is available here: deafscotland Connect and Capitalise Conference MARCH 2020
Corona Virus Update:
In line with the UK Government announcement at 5pm today, it is with much regret that we need to postpone our conference that should have taken place tomorrow (17th March) in the DoubleTree by Hilton in Glasgow.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and the short notice.
Despite following Scottish Government, NHS Health Scotland and NHS 24 guidance the decision has been taken out of our hands.
Connect & Capitalise – ‘Right Design for Communication’
Tuesday 17 March 2020 Glasgow – DoubleTree By Hilton Glasgow CentralThe overarching theme will be Communication For All, which includes Right design for communication. This in turn means
- making the most out of capacity building,
- developing strength and lasting commitment to and in communities; and
- communities that have a common vision and a sense of belonging for all.
We provide a fully accessible conference which is more expensive to run. BSL/English Interpreters, Electronic Notetakers and hearing loops are provided for all sessions including refreshment breaks. We also provide a dog station and a changing room to support access. Our tickets reflect this accessibility in the cost.
Please note: there is a booking fee to pay as well as the ticket price.

“Building on the last five years, we hope you will support us to continue raising awareness, sharing priorities and influencing.”
Donald Richards, Convenor
