Kathy Li – General input of designing

In March 2020, deafscotland was to host its Annual Conference – Connect and Capitalise. The theme was ‘Right Design for Communication’. The conference had to be cancelled due to the first lockdown for the Covid-19 pandemic.

Kathy Li was to be our first keynote speaker. She has kindly recorded the presentation she was to give and it can be viewed here:

Kathy Li is a founding member of Missing In Architecture, a collective developing areas of architectural education and practice often overlooked by the mainstream profession.  As a member studio staff at the Glasgow School of Art’s Mackintosh School of Architecture she is developing meaningful ways to tackle design for disability in the undergraduate curriculum.  Kathy has over 15 years of experience in architectural education at both Glasgow School of Art and Strathclyde University. She has also worked for practices such as Gareth Hoskins Architects, StudioKAP and Stone Opera.
