The importance of accurate data

Last year, we launched a report – “Deafness: Predicting the future for Scotland-The Census and Beyond” – on why the Census is so important to gather meaningful data on people affected by deafness living in Scotland. Covid-19 took the focus away from much of the other work we were doing and it is time to bring this Census report to the attention of those who might have missed it. Especially since National Records of Scotland are delivering a number of meetings on their new Scotland’s Census website and how data from next year’s Census will be used.
